I’m Verona and I was born in 2001. That’s easier to write than having to remember to update my age all the time. At the moment I’m 7 1/2 and my front tooth is wobbly. I’ve lost my four bottom teeth and the teeth fairy have taken them for building projects in their new faery palace. My last tooth was used by the Fairy Queen for her throne - only the nicest, shiniest teeth get used for this!

I’m home educated and love to read, write and draw most of all. My favourite books are Famous Five. I’ve read nearly all of them.g I love being outdoors and I’m always running, doing handstands or bouncing on my trampoline. I’m good at climbing trees and swimming. I can swim 200 metres on my back and I’ve just got my level 5 swimming badge. Daddy takes me out running because I wish I could run faster and one day I’d like to go to gymnastics.

I’ve just started Brownies and I’ve made some nice friends there. I also go to a club two evenings a week where I get to meet with friends. We make things, draw, do cooking and play games. I like playing games most of all.

I’ve made a bird table and feed the birds each day. I give them bird seeds, bread, cheese and even chips! I’ve made my climbing frame into a bird feeding station because I don’t really use it any more. I’m like my Daddy in

that I love making new things from old stuff I don’t need. We get lots of sparrows, blue tits, coal tits and a robin in our garden.

I have a cat called Sweep. It is her 16th Birthday next week, so the birds don’t mind her any more. Sweep is an outdoor cat so I like to take her into my shed and go to sleep with her. Mummy only lets me do this on warm Summer nights though.

In the field at the back of our house is a horse. I’ve called him Willy because I don’t know what his real name is. He looks like Willy suits him and he comes when I call him. He loves to eat apples from my garden and when I put things in the compost bin he comes along and eats it. I like going into the field and paddling in the stream. Willy watches me from the other side of the fence.

I like to dress up, make dens and play with faeries. I love making up stories with my faeries and they talk back to me. Mummy sometimes gets mad at me because I take everything out of the airing cupboard to make things with. I like using the towels to make beds for my babies but she would rather they stayed in the airing cupboard for when I have a bath.

My favourite season is spring because I like to see the faeries dance in the sun and there is still a cool breeze.
