Emma Baldwin was an outdoor girl and this is the story of Emma going out.

Emma Baldwin woke up one hot morning. The first thing she’d do was to stroke her cat, who lay heavily on her bed by her feet.

She got up. At half past eight she had breakfast, then went on her swing.

Then called Puss, “Puss!” puss came and Emma took her to Puss’s roses. Then Emma went for a walk. She ran and ran until she could run no more.

Then she had a rest and ran home. She was tired when she went up the steps to her house. She had lunch, played and had tea.

She had a tiring day; at least it was nearly bed time. She climbed the stairs, went to bed and settled down to sleep.

There once lived five soft toys. There was rabbit, bear, squirrel, mole and pup. Rabbit was moles friend. Pup liked bear. Squirrel liked pup. Then one day they were all friends together and from now on they play happily ever after.

In a little hut at the edge of the forest there lived an old man. He had a cat and a hamster.
One Thursday morning he got up. He slowly climbed down the concrete steps and went to get breakfast.

After breakfast he let his hamster out in the run. Then he took his cat for a walk. And when he died there was a statue of him and his cat.
