Playing fields and friendship bracelets

My favourite roundabout. It goes so fast!

My favourite roundabout. It goes so fast!

This is what I love most about Home Education! Today was a beautiful sunny day and I spent most of the day outdoors instead of having to be stuck inside. I wondered where the clouds go to when they disappear.

In the morning, I helped Daddy in the garden. He was cutting the hedge and I cleared old tomato plants out of the greenhouse and played in my favourite tree. Mummy sat outside and made some friendship bracelets and Sweep sat with her sunbathing.

I wanted to have a go at making a friendship bracelet myself, so I choose three colours of thread and Mummy showed me how to make special knots with them. I choose mint green, purple and yellow. I might make them as presents for my friends at Christmas.

This afternoon, after going to the farm shop I went to my favourite playing field. It is at the highest point in the forest, so you can see for a long way all around. I like the roundabout best because you can go round

really fast on it!

I chose a pineapple in the farm shop and had it with evaporated milk for tea. It was yummy. I also bought an orange and squeezed the juice out of it to make fresh orange juice. I like lemons and limes too. Fresh juice is much stronger than ready made juice, so I always water it down.

I’m not sure my crystals are going to grow because nothing is happening. But Mummy keeps telling me to be patient……..

Now I need to get ready for Brownies; it’s such a busy day!

Mummy, Daddy and me in black and white

Mummy, Daddy and me in black and white!

Tonight I went to Gatekeepers, it’s really fun there. There are a lot of nice children. I like the games we play there and the people in charge are really kind.

Today I played Sleeping lions, musical statues and musical bumps and we sung two songs. I decided that next time I go I will go on the stage to sing. It looked fun and I’m willing to have a go.

Today we met with Sue, who is an Elective Home Education Officer. She wanted to come and meet me to learn all about the exciting things I do at home.

I showed her all my fairies and some of my favourite books. Then I played ‘Mary had a little lamb’ on the piano. I’ve been wanting to play the piano again recently, so Mummy helped me learn two tunes last week.

Sue thought I did lots of interesting sounding things and was very lucky; like making my seat in the tree, going to Brownies and having my own website. I really liked her and didn’t want her to go. She is going to come and see me again in a few months time.

She was really positive about me not going to school and is going to try and help me find out more about learning Spanish, which is what I would like to do. I showed her my new ‘growing crystals’ set and this afternoon I started to grow my first crystals. There are 13 in the set, which means I will have one in my bedroom and each of my fairies can look after one each. I have to be patient because they each take a few days to grow.

I wanted some pictures of me, Mummy and Daddy, so tonight we took this photo to share with you and we played with colour filters and artistic effects.

Birthdays and friends

A Birthday card I drew of a girl swimming

A Birthday card I drew of a girl swimming

Today I met up with my friend who I went to see the fireworks with. It was so lovely to see her. I’ve been wanting to see her for two weeks, so I’ve been very patient. We played all day, had lunch together and my favourite part was when we climbed up into my tree and sat together.

One of Mummy’s friends children has her Birthday’s tomorrow. So this morning I made a card for her. I drew a picture of her swimming. I’m not sure whether she likes swimming or not, but I hope she will like the card because I took a long time trying to get the legs and arms right.

I was really tired after my exciting day playing and went straight to bed as soon as we had dropped my friend back home again. I’m looking forward to seeing her again soon.
