card I made for a gymnast friend
This week I have been busy making Christmas cards. I have made one for a gymnast friend with a picture of a girl about to do a cartwheel. One for a friend who likes cats with a big, black cat on it. I made one for a Brownies friend with all our Brownie friends on and another with flowers on for a friend who likes to go walking on our local hill.

Our advent nature table
I’ve had a lovely week doing all my advent things. I’ve been decorating my special tree with my wooden Advent decorations that Grandma gave me last year. I’ve made a candle to light for our special stories and made some salt dough decorations.
I love trees and don’t like the thought of them being cut down for Christmas, that makes me feel sad. I have a special tree in the garden called Maggie. She is a magnolia tree. This year she is going to give us some of her branches to bring into the house for me to decorate. This means we don’t have to cut down a special Christmas tree and one more tree gets to live.
We’ve had two Christmas cards in the post and I’ve had two from friends, but I’ve asked Mummy to keep hold of everything until Christmas Day so that I can enjoy looking at them then.

I built a snowman!
Yesterday it snowed! I got dressed up to go out, but by the time I’d put everything on the snow had turned to rain. I did manage to make a mini snowman with a tiny amount of snow I managed to collect. Mummy ran outside to take a photo before he melted.
I’ve been preparing for Advent. I love how every second now brings me closer to Christmas. On Monday I set up our Advent corner with Mummy. We have an angel, mother nature and some stars and snowflakes. Later in the month we add our nativity scene.
Every night between now and Advent, Mummy reads me a special story. We put out the lights, light some candles and listen in front of the fire.
