My Blog Award from Denise

My Blog Award from Denise

I’ve been given an award by my friend Denise from A smile a day. It’s so cute and I’m really pleased. We once saw a deer in the forest. it looked at us for a moment before scampering off.

I’m going to share this award with Hannah. Hannah is homeschooled too and I love reading her blog and seeing all her photos.

And I’m going to share it with Poppy; who runs playrangers and lets me help on her farm.

They can pass them on to people who’s blog are deer as cupcakes to them :)

Yesterday I wrote to some of my penfriends. I have two. I like drawing my own pictures and designing my own postcards.

I did some of my best joined up writing and Mummy said it was excellent.

Later on we went into the garden. Daddy dug a bed and took out the weeds and Mummy put the rest of her plants in - lots of sprouts and pumpkins. I carried the water from the water butt, which are all full after lots of rain.

The brussel sprouts like all the rain. I have flowers on all my potato plants now and Mummy thinks I will be eating them by the end of the month. Yummy! New potatoes, boiled with some butter is my favourite type of potato to eat, with lots of vegetables and any kind of fish - it’s one of my favourite meals. I like carrots, broccoli and sweetcorn best.

Tonight I’m off to busy bees to do some more sewing!

My busy week

Getting ready to splash Daddy's friend

Getting ready to splash Daddy's friend

I’ve had a busy week doing lots of things. We planted out everything we had grown in the greenhouse and this took about 2 days. It was very hot and my potatoes have now got flowers on them! I’ve eaten a whole row of radishes and we’ve got lots of lovely lettuce which I’ve eaten every day.

On Tuesday, Daddy’s friend Mark came over for a night. He bought us all a present. I had a splash rocket, Mummy had some flowers and an elderflower drink and Daddy had some beer. We had a water fight together and both got soaked. Mark soaked Daddy as well; Daddy didn’t want to get soaked because he was clean and dry! I was really excited and enjoyed myself and wished the game could go on for longer.

That evening I went to busy bees; which is a sewing group. I am making a needle case. I have sewed the ends and have nearly finished my cross stitch.  I really enjoy it there and it’s always the best part of my day when Mummy asks me what the best part of my day has been.

I went to play rangers on Wednesday; I really enjoy it there and look forward to going again. We can play with footballs, go on treasure hunts, build dens, hunt for golf balls and have toasted marshmallows over the fire. After play rangers it was off to Brownies! We had running competitions with beanbags and played tag.

On Thursday I went to Poppy’s farm. I cleaned out the rabbits and looked at their tiny babies. They are the size of a tennis ball and were very cute. In one of the cages there were about 6 white babies and one orange one. I cuddled the orange one - it had been wee’d on by one of the others but it was very cute. I collected eggs, milked Geraldine the goat - I got about a bottle of milk out of her. She doesn’t like one side being milked because it doesn’t have much milk in, so she kept lifting up her hoof mischievously to budge me out of the way.

Last week we were sheep shearing. My job was to hold the sheep still and then spray it afterwards with paint to mark it. One sheep had to have its ears pierced and jumped up in dismay when it was done.

On Friday I went trampolining and I was practising my backdrop and routine. For backdrop I had to put my arms infront of me, like I was holding a big beach ball, bounce up high, drop down onto my back and bounce back up again. I managed to do it with my arms to my sides, but not infront of me.

Today I went on a Brownie trip. We had to collect pearls to see who got the most. To collect them, we had to play as many games as possible. We had a packed tea and were given a cake afterwards. There were lots of Brownies and Guides there from all of the county. I liked singing the songs and playing all the games.

My favourite part of the week has been looking after my baby and going to play rangers.
