The results of my Beatrix Potter books survey

Thank you for helping me with my Beatrix Potter project. I got loads of answers and I’ve now plotted them on a bar chart as the finishing touch for my Beatrix Potter Lapbook.

Today my Mum is going to put the book together and it will all be finished.

The most popular books were “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” and “The tale of Squirrel Nutkin”.

The least popular is “The tale of Samuel Whiskers”.

You can click on the Story of Samuel Whiskers if you want to read it. It’s about two rats who try to make Tom Kitten into a pudding for their tea! But his tail pokes out and his ears stick up so they don’t get to eat him. It’s funny, but I’m glad Tom Kitten got away!

Last week I planted my potatoes. They had chitted nicely, although I couldn’t really see much difference!

I had 3 Vales Emerald and 3 Rocket from the Potatoes for Schools and I planted them next to Mummy’s Cara potatoes. We’re going to try some Desirees this year too as we’ve never grown maincrop ones before.

I’ve been keeping my weather chart and even though it feels like it’s been grey for a long time we’ve had 14 sunny days since the beginning of the month. I’ve been spending lots of time outdoors, right up until I have to go to bed and then it’s just getting dark.

I have to take care of my potatoes now until 22nd June which is the day everyone digs them up, but in our soil I don’t really have to do much; it’s clay and stays damp, so I don’t need to water them much. I just need to keep the weeds away.

I hope I get a good crop! This week I will be planting sunflowers and some wild flowers for the bees and butterflies.

I’m doing a lapbook about Beatrix Potter.

One of the activities is to take a poll of my friends. I have listed the Beatrix Potter books I have read below and I need you to tell me which ones you have read too. Then I will make a chart of all the results.
