A Tortoiseshell butterfly

Today I took this photo of a small tortoiseshell butterfly. She landed on the patio outside the door while I was sitting at the table.

I was very pleased to see it because according to UK butterflies, the small tortoiseshell is declining in numbers. They like nettles and we have plenty of those around.

Isn’t she pretty!

Missy the Unicorn

Say hello to Missy, my new friend!

She’s a big pink Unicorn that Grandma bought me. She’s filled with helium and likes to sleep on my ceiling. She’s going down a bit now so she floats up and down in the air looking really pretty.

I love Unicorns.

Sunrise the busy bunny

Sunrise the bunny has a beautiful run. Dad made it from some old fire guards. She has a small hutch attached in case she wants some shade from the sun or shelter from the rain and it has soft, lush grass for her to nibble on:

Oh wait, where’s the grass! Sunrise has spent the summer digging a burrow and covering her grass with soil so now she lies on dirt all day long. Dad has taken out three whole wheel barrows full of soil already so she must have a HUGE house under the grass!
