A sky full of fireworks

Baking chocolate cakes for Grandma's Birthday

Baking chocolate cakes for Grandma

Last night I went to see some fireworks with a friend. My favourite were the orange ones that climbed up into the sky, went BANG! and then flowed down like a weeping willow tree. Weeping willow trees are one of my favourite trees. Mummy is going to get some black paper so that I can draw them.

I’m very excited because I’m going out for Grandma’s Birthday tomorrow. It’s my cousin’s Birthday too. So I’ve been busy making cards and baking chocolate cakes for everyone. I did most of the baking myself and made chocolate muffins which I know Grandma likes. Mummy says I learn all about fractions when I’m cooking because we use cups. All I know is that two half cups are the same as a whole cup and four quarter cups are the same as a whole cup. But that’s what I like most about home education - I don’t even realise I’m doing work because everything feels like playing and fun to me.

Tonight I am sleeping infront of the fire in the lounge. It’s one of my special treats that I love to do. I like hearing the stories in the flames as they crackle and spit and I fall asleep feeling warm and cosy.

My front tooth is so wobbly now. I think it will fall out tomorrow. I hope so; it’s starting to annoy me and eating sometimes hurts.
