Today I went to the Advent Market with Grandma in Cheltenham. There were pretty lights everywhere and Grandma bought me a mood ring, a pack of Christmas cards and a rocking cradle for my baby.
I went into a few shops where there were lots of things that Grandma and Granddad might like to buy. Also there was an enormous clock and every hour and at half past a little Mouse popped out; the clock span around and fish blew bubbles. The clock only has one hand, which tells you the minutes and the sun tells you what hour it is.
I went up the escalator so we could see a fountain down below very clearly. It was really beautiful.
I saw a pretend fluffy seal inside a hoop and he was chasing a ball. It really looked like it was chasing the ball, but it was attached on.
I went to a nice restaurant called Marinades for lunch. There were some really nice people there - I really liked Wendy and her husband was called Clive.
For lunch I had salad with chips and lovely pineapple juice to drink with some ice cubes and a straw. I loved the grated carrot and cucumber. I felt really full afterwards and I had a rest in the car before we went back to my Grandma’s house.
At Grandma’s I played with the train set and built it all by myself. Then I listened to a film of Thomas the Tank engine which I really like. Then had tea; it was rice cakes with marmite on.
I went home to show Mummy and Daddy my things and stayed up for an hour making the cradle myself. I learned how to use an Alan key and now my babies are happy, comfortable and asleep.

You have been very busy to build a cot and write your account of the day so soon.
The people you met in Cheltenham will be thrilled that you enjoyed your visit so much and we really enjoyed taking you there.
I hope your babies will be happy in their cot for a long time. Congratulations on mastering the Alan key!
Hello Grandma
I did have a really good time at the Advent market and really would like to go there again with you and Granddad. I liked the twinkly lights and walking under the Christmas Tree arch. I hope there won’t be any more buildings in the shops. I hope you enjoy looking at new pictures on my website.
Hello Verona
It was very nice to meet you the other week when you came for lunch with Grandma and Grandad. We are glad that you enjoyed yourself and your lunch and you are welcome at any time. You are very lucky to have such nice grandparents to bring you to places like the advent market. Cheltenham looks even more Christmassy now with the decorations, the shops and the market and all the people! Hope to see you again soon.
Wendy and Clive from Marinades Restaurant…
To Wendy and Clive,
Thank you for your comment. I would love to come to come to your restaurant again and I thought your food was absolutely delicious. I’m glad Cheltenham is looking more Christmasy; we have set up our advent corner and I’m looking forward to decorating our house later in the month - that’s my job to do each year
