I once saw animals
I didn’t take them inside
I made a house for them and put them in
I let them come out if they wanted to come out
And let them stay in if they wanted to stay in
I was so kind to them
To Detta,
I once actually took care of some slow worms. one day when it had just stopped raining, I came out and one was above the water and one was underneath. I took them out and put them under the hedge and have been looking out for slow worms ever since.

Happy New Year Verona! I am sorry I haven’t been in touch before now but December was very busy at work, then it was Christmas and finally my family caught this terrible flu bug so I have had to be a nurse for the last 2 weeks. I am fine though, I haven’t caught it (fingers crossed). I love your website - it is so interesting with super pictures. I hope you had a lovely Christmas I had some music CDs for my car so that I can put them on when I am driving to visit families. It also means that I can sing along without anyone having to put up with my terrible voice - not a good thing! I like reading as well although you will be surprised when you know my latest book. We love to watch rugby and so I am reading Lawrence Dallaglio’s autobiography. He was a famous rugby player. I hope you and Mummy and Daddy are well and I will try and write again soon. Sue

To Sue,
Thank you for putting a comment on my website. I’m glad to hear that you had a good Christmas, and I did too. I’ll be writing some more blog posts soon and I hope you’ll come along and read what I’ve been doing.
At the moment I’m reading ‘Five go to Billy Cock Hill’. It’s a story about four people and their dog Timmy, who go on an adventure in some caves.
Glad to hear that you’ve not caught ‘flu,
from Verona

Hello and welcome to my art site
Welcome to VeronaStrauss.com This is my personal website where I have published all the stories, poems and pictures I have made. I hope you like what you see here and you are welcome to leave any friendly comments if you like. Read more about me HERE
I love reading books ... it's one of my favourite past-times and I spend many hours a week lost in fabulous stories and adventures. I also like to write my own stories and poems and I have included some of the ones I like here.
I think those animals are very lucky to have such a kind young lady looking out for them. x
