Playing with friends

Today my friend came over for the day. She likes stationery like I do and she came with some new stuff she had for me to look at. We played on the trampoline and made pizzas for lunch. I had ham, pineapple and sweetcorn.

Today mum made courgette soup from onions and courgettes in the garden and home made bread to celebrate Lammas - it was yummy!

Out to lunch!

Today I went out for a meal to celebrate my cousin’s Birthday. We went to La Tasca which is a Spanish tapas restaurant.

You could choose three things from the menu and it came with peppers, cucumber and carrots. I chose fries, garlic bread with cheese and fish fingers. Not very Spanish but I liked what I had. I had profiteroles for pudding - one of my favourites!

Tonight my friend rang and she’s going to come over tomorrow. We both like doing stationery swaps so she’s going to bring all hers over for me to see.

Saturday with friends

Today I was planning a quiet day at home but while I was eating lunch my friend called and asked if I could go over. She wanted me to take my bike so I spent the afternoon with her.

I signed up for the summer reading challenge at the library this morning where you have to read at least six books during the summer holiday.

This year’s theme is Circus Stars. You have to help Anand, Megan, Bailey, Emma, Frank, Ted and Clemmy to learn their circus skills.  When you sign up you get a cardboard stage set, a game and some scratch and sniff stickers. As you read through the books you help the Circus Stars progress through Practice and Rehearsal to Showtime!

I started with “The naughtiest girl in the school” by Enid Blyton because she’s one of my favourite authors. If you go to the Circus Stars website you can see videos by some authors such as Andy Stanton, Michael Rosen and Cressida Cowell.
