All my careful stitches on my needlework case

Since the summer I’ve been going to a weekly sewing class. This week I finished my needlework case and have learned how to do blanket stitch on a Christmas Stocking.

I am very proud of my needlework case and Mum thinks I’ve done a great job on it. I really enjoy sewing and I like finger knitting too.

   My word, Verona, what fabulous work! Your needle case is so decorative - you will feel proud every time you use it. Your Christmas stocking is amazing. It’s very tricky to keep blanket stitch evenly sized and not pulled too tight. I think you’ve done wonderfully well.

   I used to enjoy sewing but my first really attractive work was done when I was nearly eleven. You have got off to an excellent and early start. Well done! I think your sewing teacher must be amazing too.

   Thank you Grandma! I’m really pleased with my work; it’s far better than Disaster that I made today! Julia’s second name is not Chapel, I think it’s Thomas but I can’t completely remember. Look forward to seeing you soon!
