I finished my Beatrix Potter lapbook last week and it looks really good!
Mummy put it all together, then we practised drawing rabbits for the front cover.
My favourite bits about the lapbook were learning about when Beatrix first became famous and the sorts of things she became the first woman to do.
I liked seeing how she was determined to have her first book published and how she was the first woman to become president of the Herdwick sheep breeders association.
I also loved doing my survey and making the bar graph of the results.
We watched “Miss Potter” too and it made me laugh when the publisher called “The Tale of Peter Rabbit” her bunny book. Beatrix was not very impressed and had a really funny look on her face!

This looks lovely, Verona. I am looking forward to reading it when I come to your house. I love the Beatrix Potter characters and stories. I didn’t read them as a child but I did read lots of the Little Grey Rabbit stories by Alison Uttley - they are delicious, too.
